Trafikkfri Bryggen

Traffikkfri Bryggen

The final visualisation.

In the autumn of 2013 I got a call from Norwegian Member of Parliament Peter Frølich. At the time there was a lively debate in Bergen about which route Bybanen (tram) should take in it’s next stage.

While many people had visualized Bybanen going in front of Bryggen there were no images to show the alternative. Peter Frølich thus wanted help to present his vision of the historical Bryggen houses without any traffic.

A panorama for shot for reflections and image based lighting.

The resulting image helped him convince fellow party members of his point of view and open up a wider debate and re-evaluation about which route Bybanen should in the future. The image was featured over two pages in Bergens Tidene and on other news sites. The final decision where Bybanen will go in the future is still pending as of this writing.
