Bybanen was a big project with a lot to keep track of. The job started with being contacted by Anti AS to be part of their bid for information materials for the Bybanen Stage 3 Development between Lagunen and Flesland here in Bergen. Anti won the contract in spring of 2013 and work commenced shortly thereafter. Having the experience of previously producing the Stage 2 visualisations helped in being prepared for dealing with the huge data set that came in.

At the kickoff meeting with Bybanen Utvikling we came to agree on a preliminary set of camera angles that would best show the new stations. This was followed by a quick location scouting and preliminary photography for approval.

The famous Bergen weather delayed final photography several days. Meanwhile extensive work began on the CAD data which at this point was still changing a lot as decisions were being made. A lot of things needed to be filled in as work progressed. Once final photography had been approved the work progressed steadily towards the final delivery.

This project required a high degree of accuracy. Thus managing the source data for visualisation became an interesting problem to solve. Especially as that data was changing along the way. After many meetings and a lot of work the project was delivered and went out to print in the brochures designed by Anti.
